Bruno is top of Keegan's wish list

FORMER Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan has admitted if he returned to management the one player he would love to sign is Magpies captain Bruno Guimaraes.

Keegan has not returned to the dugout since leaving Newcastle in 2008 at the end of this second spell in charge at St James' Park.

It was his first spell on Tyneside that captured hearts and minds, though, as Newcastle went from the first division to title contenders and his 'Entertainers' side became every English football fan's 'second team'.

So it was telling that Guimaraes is the current player he feels identifies most with his footballing philosophy.

"Bruno Guimaraes," Keegan replied when asked which current player he would most like to sign if he returned to management.
