A rare and frustrating day at home as Shields lose their unbeaten record

SOUTH Shields manager Ian Watson reflected on a frustrating day as his side fell to a rare home defeat against Kidderminster Harriers.

David Davis fired the visitors in front four minutes before halftime and they became the first away side to take three points from the 1st Cloud Arena this season when Kam Kandola netted in the closing stages.

Dillon Morse grabbed a goal in stoppage-time for Shields.

The defeat, coupled with AFC Fylde’s narrow home win against Merthyr Town, means the Mariners now lie four points adrift of the top of the table with a game in hand.

For Watson, an inability to build momentum proved to be the biggest frustration.
