Fifty schools closed for special relic exhibition in Kandy

Fifty schools in Kandy town, and surrounding areas, will be closed for five days (21 April to 25 April), in view of the special exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which is scheduled to take place at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on 18 April. Thereafter, it will continue daily for 10 days, from 12:00 noon to 5:30 p.m.

The following schools will be closed: Gurudeniya Maha Vidyalaya, Vidyaloka Maha Vidyalaya, Thennekumbura, Dharmaraja College, D.S. Senanayake Maha Vidyalaya, Mahamaya Girls' College, Berrewaerts College, Berrewaerts Primary School, Siddhartha College, Ampitiya, Dambawela Primary School, Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Sri Rahula National School, St. Anthony's College, St. Anthony's Girls' College, Sri Chandananda Buddhist Girls' College, Vidyartha College, Thakshila College, Hemamali G
