Data leak reveals Russia recruited over 1,500 foreign mercenaries for war in Ukraine

A leak from Moscow’s Unified Medical Information and Analytical System (EMIAS) showed that more than 1,500 foreign mercenaries, from almost 50 countries, were recruited in Moscow to fight for Russia in Ukraine between April 2023 and May 2024, the TVP World of Poland reported yesterday.
It said: The evidence showing that Russia recruited more than 1,500 foreign mercenaries to fight in Ukraine was uncovered by independent Russian news site iStories.
The data was obtained after hackers from the “DumpForum” group breached the capital city’s IT infrastructure in April 2024.
