The Tamil Nadu government is set to introduce a bill banning Hindi in the state.
Chief Minister Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin will present the legislation on the final day of the assembly session, aiming to prohibit Hindi hoardings and Hindi language films across Tamil Nadu.
Earlier this year, the State government had replaced the official Indian rupee symbol '' with the Tamil letter '' as the logo for its state budget.
