Ceylex Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, recently made an astounding achievement by unveiling the Kabale 132/33 kV, 80 MVA Substation on February 12, 2025. This was designed and constructed with Sri Lankan expertise and global collaboration within a guaranteed time span of 18 months in Uganda. This occasion, graced by His Excellency Yoweri Museveni, the President of Republic of Uganda, marks a significant leap forward in the region's power infrastructure and expands its global presence. The event was met with enthusiasm from local citizens, who jubilantly welcomed the development with great anticipation.
This milestone project led by a versatile team of well recognised Sri Lankan Engineers are a testimony to the unmatched skills and excellence of our engineering professionals. Ceylex Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd., a well-established and revered name in Sri Lanka's power sector for over 25 years, served as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor. It is the first time a Sri Lankan company has designed and constructed a high voltage substation outside the country.
