Canada, Lanka to boost agri ties

The High Commission of Canada in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, in collaboration with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), yesterday announced the visit of a Canadian Agricultural Mission to Sri Lanka from October 27 to 31, 2025.

A CCC release said that the five-day mission aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture, agri-food, and agri-tech, focusing on agricultural policy, productivity, smart farming, and climate resilience. It will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, academics, and government officials.
