Staff from North Ayrshire Council are battling to return to normal after Storm Amy wrought major havoc across the region with some rescue operations needed across the area.

Council workers are continuing their efforts to get life back to business as usual for residents following Storm Amy.

During the weekend of October 4, flood warnings were issued by the Met Office for areas including Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Skelmorlie and Largs.
