Former US president Barack Obama has torn into Donald Trump, saying it feels like “every day is Halloween - except it’s all tricks and no treats” under his administration.
Mr Obama slated Mr Trump during a speech on Saturday in support of Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, where he said: “It’s worse than even I expected.”
“It’s not as if we didn’t see some of this coming,” Mr Obama told the crowd at the rally in Norfolk. “I will admit it’s worse than even I expected. But I did warn y’all.”
The former president began by reeling off how the Trump family has benefited from cryptocurrency dealings and accused the president of prioritising his “billionaire pals and finance bros”.
“Is the economy working better for you? Because it sure has gotten better for Trump and his family,” said Mr Obama.
