Storm Bram hits much of western UK

FLIGHTS and trains have been cancelled and hundreds of properties left without power because of Storm Bram.

Heavy rainfall and strong winds were expected to cause disruption across parts of the UK into this morning.

The Met Office issued amber and yellow weather warnings for rain and wind amid, warning of flooding and flying debris in some areas.

Yesterday morning, 42 flights were cancelled at Dublin Airport because of strong wings, with further cancellations predicted later in the day.

Part of the M66 in Greater Manchester was shut southbound after flooding and a crash involving multiple vehicles.
