Robber laughed after snatching cash from grandmother, 85

HER FAMILY ARE LEFT 'SICKENED'

THE family of an 85-year-old grandma has been left “sickened” after she was robbed while using a cash machine.

The victim, Sylvia, was on her way to the hairdressers when she parked up her mobility scooter and visited the Post Office on Upper Commercial Street in Batley.

She was approached by a man who snatched the cash out of her hand and was left very distressed.

West Yorkshire Police are investigating.

Sylvia's granddaughter, Lauren, said the thief “just laughed” as he stole the money.

Lauren said several people walked past and “not one person asked if she was okay or offered to help”.
