D-day looms for takeaway plans after residents object

PLANS to convert a former Mirfield bank into a takeaway will be determined by Kirklees Council next week as several objections have been raised.
The former Barclays Bank turned tutoring centre in Mirfield

Earlier this year, the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) reported that an application had been made to transform the vacant ground floor of the former Barclays at 47 Huddersfield Road into a Domino's Pizza.
Most recently, this part of the building appears to have been used as a tutoring centre.
Under the plans, the new takeaway would open from 11am to 11pm daily, with deliveries to be made at the front of the premises outside of peak hours.
Three parking spaces would be provided to the rear of the premises.
