EXTRA SERVICES OFFERED TO RESIDENTS
KIRKLEES Council is in the process of handing three assets to local communities.
Community Asset Transfers (CATs) see local organisations assume full responsibility for the management, repair, and maintenance of properties or land, taking them on through a long leasehold from the council. To date, 27 CATs have been completed in Kirklees, including civic halls, community centres, playing fields, parks, libraries and village halls.
Three assets - Honley Village Hall, the Hudawi Centre and the DRAM Centre - are now in the process of being transferred to community organisations.
