KATIC WILL DO ALL HE CAN TO FEND OFF RELEGATION
NIKOLA Katic is fully focused on playing his part in Plymouth Argyle's battle to escape relegation from the Championship as the season and his loan spell with the Pilgrims draws to a close.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international defender has made 13 starts since arriving on loan from Swiss Super League club FC Zurich towards the end of the January transfer window.
However, Katic was substituted during the second half of Argyle's vital 2-1 victory over Norwich City at Home Park on Saturday because he had a tight hamstring and was replaced by Icelandic international defender Victor Palsson for the closing stages.
However, he believes he 'should be fine' to play in the away game against Swansea City tomorrow night. It follows a busy schedule for Katic, not only with the Pilgrims but also his national team's recent 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Romania and at home to Cyprus.
His playing future once the 2024/25 Championship campaign is over is uncertain but the 28-year-old former Glasgow Rangers defender is not bothered about that at the moment.
