SIMON Washington walked away from the Indian Inn with the Charlie Mitchell Memorial title after a brilliant display of darting prowess at the Stoke village venue.
Scott Cook
Dave Wyatt snuck past Stuart Couling in the opening game 3-2 before Washington dispatched Glenn Halford 3-0. Paul Freeman was a 3-1 winner, and next came Simon Wilbraham, who took out 114 in a 3-0 success against Andy Bond.
Robbie Aitken survived an 18-darter from Alan Rowe in his 3-1 win, whilst Andrew Cook (26.37) looked up for a title tilt in his 3-0 win that contained two legs in 18 darts.
Scott Cook (27.83) withstood a 180 from opponent Phil Taylor in his 3-0 success that saw legs tumble in 15 and 17 darts and completing the last 16 phase was Danny Bull, who netted a 115 kill and a 180 on his way to an emphatic 3-0 triumph.
Andrew Cook (27.33) returned to end the hopes of Dave Wyatt thanks to 16 and 18 darters, as well as a maximum. Bull's 3-0 triumph came with the help of another 17-darter before Scott Cook put his name into the last four hat with a 3-1 victory.
Washington then edged out Wilbraham 3-2 with a clutch 17-darter ending his opponent's run before dispatching Bull by the same scoreline thanks to a 90 three-dart out.
Legs of 18, 18, and 17 from Scott Cook gave him the brotherly bragging rights over Andrew Cook in a 3-1 turnaround.
Washington (26.38) showed his class in the final to take the trophy with a 3-0 success that contained another leg in 17.
SIMON Washington (27.83) lit up the Monday Premier League with a 16-darter in his 3-0 singles success that came in a 10-1 win for Tradesmans at Duchy.
