STUDENTS in Ivybridge found themselves on the frontline of future technology when they programmed an artificial intelligence (AI) machine to recognise friend from foe - and even trigger a paper aeroplane in response.

The students at Ivybridge Community College took part in an immersive, hands-on Al and machine learning workshop led by Hyett Education, exploring the role of Al in modern life and the risks that come with it.
