Viewing Rembrandt's wonderful self-portrait deserves not to be rushed

KINGSTON Lacy in Dorset is the first stop on a unique, nationwide journey for one of the National Trust's most treasured artworks Self-portrait wearing a Feathered Bonnet by Rembrandt van Rijn.
This special touring exhibition marks the start of Meet Rembrandt: A slow looking experience, inviting visitors to engage with the masterpiece and explore how art can nurture wellbeing.
From January 12 to March 22, this extraordinary self-portrait will take pride of place at Kingston Lacy displayed in a newly created fully accessible gallery - designed to allow everyone to experience it in comfort and without distraction.
The National Trust's slow looking initiative encourages visitors to slow down and spend time with art in a more mindful way.
