Raiders maintain their winning start to league season
The Herald

PLYMOUTH Raiders maintained their perfect home start to the season with a convincing 88-70 win against Cardiff Archers at The Life Centre.
Tom Elliott-Smith
Going into the fixture, Cardiff with three wins and three losses, sat seventh in the standings, just below Raiders in sixth, who were defending a 100 percent three wins from three games record but also - crucially - with games in hand against all other teams across the division.
As another “must win" game, coach Gareth Laws demanded another strong opening start against the predominantly University-based side.
The optics were very much ‘men against boys’ as the two sides differed significantly in size and experience and the opening periods saw Raiders take the early lead and establish a 12-point gap at the end of the first quarter.
