Pub kids' play area to stay open to 9pm

A POPULAR Plymouth pub says it has won its battle to relax an eight-year-old restriction, ensuring children can now play outside until 9pm.

The Plymstock Inn says Plymouth City Council's sub licensing committee has decided to extend the opening time of the play area by two hours every day.

It followed noise complaints from neighbours.

New landlord Jack Fry asked for the change to help make the business, which was operating as a family dining pub, a success.

But his request to discard the need for a noise limiter which triggers when live or recorded music exceeds an agreed level was denied.
