Lamb Feast will be centrepiece of historic festival

MID-SUMMER FESTIVAL STARTS TONIGHT
ONE of the most historic areas of Plymouth will be staging a huge festival of fun this weekend - including a musical marathon. Plympton St Maurice's three-day Mid-Summer Festival will feature a huge range of entertaining and informative events for families and will be matched with a music festival at the village’s London Inn pub.
A spokesperson for the MidSummer Festival said: “This festival is a tradition that goes back centuries, and it's a great way to celebrate the community and the rich history of this place.”
The festival kicks off tonightwith a concert called Summers is a Comin’ In, by the Sir Joshua Reynolds choir at the Guildhall.
Tickets cost £7.50 on the door and refreshments are available. The spokesperson said: “The Guildhall is a stunning building that dates back to the 15th Century.”
