NEW MIDFIELDER NEXT TO SUFFER AN INJURY

- By CHRIS ERRINGTON

TOM Cleverley is hoping that the hamstring injury suffered by Plymouth Argyle midfielder Herbie Kane in the early stages of the 3-1 win away to Leyton Orient is not a significant one.

The loan signing from Huddersfield Town followed up his full debut for the Pilgrims in the 4-0 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday by also starting the game against Orient.

However, Kane soon pulled up clutching the back of one of his legs and after a brief assessment of his injury on the pitch he limped off the pitch and was replaced by Brendan Wiredu as a 12th minute substitute.

With Joe Ralls, another influential midfielder ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring issue, Argyle could have done without losing Kane.
