A HUGE building widely considered to be among the ugliest in Plymouth has been given a new lease of life - as the city’s largest charity shop.
St Luke's have opened in the former Staples building at Charles Cross SALES PROFITS WILL SUPPORT WORK OF HOSPICE PROVIDER
(PAUL SLATER)
The beloved St Luke's Hospice charity, which provides support to people with life-limiting illness, has relocated its flagship fundraising store to the former Staples building at Charles Cross.
St Luke's closed its previous store in the former Toys R Us building in Western Approach and opened yesterday from its new location.
The charity announced the move on social media on Sunday, saying: “Something BIG is coming to Charles Cross on Monday.”
It went on to say: “Our brand new flagship store will be opening in its new city centre location on Monday - the biggest charity shop in Plymouth. Our Western Approach store has closed its doors and will be relocating to its bigger and better premises at the Charles Cross roundabout near Drake Circus and The Barcode.
“We are excited to welcome you in to explore our new store - there are even 15 minutes of free parking spots right outside the door, perfect for any pickups or drop-offs.”
