Flag day for Jak after triumph at wacky event

IT turned out to be a flag day for Jak Plummer when he literally conquered a greasy pole to be named Plymouth’s Up The Mast champion.
Jak, from Plymouth, triumphed over 175 other competitors when the bizarre challenge came to Britain's Ocean City.
Thousands of people turned up at the Barbican to watch the spectacle, sponsored by energy drink firm Red Bull. Competitors had to climb a greased pole and capture a flag at the end of it with many ending up in the drink before they could get to it.
