Christmas 'hasn't been cancelled' school says

A HEADTEACHER of a Plymouth school has sought to reassure parents that it has not “cancelled” Christmas as some have rumoured.

High View school in Efford, which was awarded an “outstanding” rating by Ofcom last year, confirmed that it had recently sent out a letter to parents and carers regarding a change to its Christmas events programme.

However, this saw some parents fear that it meant the end of the school’s popular Christmas shows, with one contacting The Herald and suggesting that it was “one of the only Primary schools in Plymouth that have chosen to cancel Christmas”

However, Tessa Sanders, head teacher at High View School, has poured cold water on the claims and reassured parents that this is far from the case.
