The Herald
|January 20, 2026
CHIEF Scout Dwayne Fields has send his congratulations to Scouts in Looe, saying he hopes to meet members of a new Explorer Scout unit in the town.
-
Mr Fields is a British TV presenter who has also travelled to the Magnetic North Pole, and replaced another figure from the small screen, Bear Grylls, as 'chief scout'.
In the letter sent on to the Herald, Mr Fields said: "It's such a great honour to take on the role of Chief Scout.
"A vital part of my mission is to encourage our Scouts and volunteers to build their skills and find their future, and I'm really looking forward to meeting Scouts in Looe and the surrounding area.
