PEPPLE SUFFERS A NASTY EYE INJURY IN LINCOLN DEFEAT
BIM Pepple had to be substituted late in the first half of Plmyouth Argyle's game against Lincoln City at Home Park due to a badly swollen right eye.
The 23-year-old striker had made an excellent start to the match, scoring his seventh goal of the season with a fabulous long-range finish as he controlled the ball instantly when it was played forward to him from deep and then fired home from 25 yards out.
Pepple also proved a real handful for Lincoln's former Argyle defender and player-of-the-year Sonny Bradley and his centre-back partner Tom Hamer.
However, after a painful clash of heads with Lincoln midfielder Ivan Varfolomeev, Pepple could not see out of his swollen right eye and, much to his obvious frustration, the striker had to be replaced by Owen Oseni.
