BUT BETTER NEWS OVER DALE AND OSENI FOR ARGYLE

- By CHRIS ERRINGTON

JULIO Pleguezuelo faces another spell out of action for Plymouth Argyle due to a calf problem, but there is better news over the recoveries of Owen Dale and Owen Oseni from ankle injuries.

Jack MacKenzie, the summer signing from Scottish Cup winners Aberdeen who has yet to make his Pilgrims’ debut due to multiple fitness issues, is also poised to return to training with the first team squad later this week.

Pleguezuelo did not play until the start of December this season because of a knee injury and his return to the side was one of the reasons for Argyle’s recent improved defensive record.

However, the Spanish centre-back had to be substituted in the second half of the Pilgrims’ last game, the 3-0 League One win against Burton Albion at Home Park on January 4 due to a calf issue, and that is going to lead to more time on the sidelines for him.

Head coach Tom Cleverley said at a Press conference yesterday: “I could see it in his eyes, he didn’t look happy at full-time of the game (against Burton).
