Albion call out 'lewd' behaviour by patrons

PLYMOUTH Albion rugby club has called out “rude, lewd and aggressive” behaviour towards its staff and volunteers over several recent incidents in which they said a small number of individuals acted inappropriately.

The club said it takes a “zero-tolerance” approach to behaviour that “threatens, intimidates or disrespects” its staff, players or fellow supporters over the incidents and said they will refuse service, remove them from their Brickfields ground, and ban them from future events.

In a statement issued on the club's web site, a spokesperson said: “Plymouth Albion RFC is proud to be a community club a place where players, supporters, staff, volunteers and visitors come together to share in the enjoyment of rugby, friendship and belonging.

“That sense of community is something we value deeply, and it relies on mutual respect.
