A hectic day trip to sample capital life

US went up Lunnun last week.

In a day!Now I know for some of you this may be no big deal, but having lived in London for many years it holds little magic for me - and what little magic might remain evaporated on this trip!
That said, I had a wonderful time as I went to have lunch with some of my old Notre Dame schoolgirl friends, christened by Heather 'Notre Dame Glams.
Well, I think we all wear glasses and we certainly have soft lenses on our cameras so we can just about get away with it!
It's only just over two hours for me in Exeter on a so-called 'Great' Western Train. My friend Helen got on in Plymouth and, after a huge kerfuffle which meant she had to physically go to the station and buy her ticket to let me know her seat so that I could then go to Exeter station to be sure to get a seat next to her!
