US House calls for Andrew to answer questions over Epstein
The Guardian
|November 07, 2025
A US congressional panel investigating Jeffrey Epstein has written to Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly the Duke of York, to ask that he submit to questioning as part of its investigation into Epstein's criminal operations.
In a letter published yesterday, the California congressman Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House oversight committee, requested that King Charles III's younger brother help with his inquiry.
The formal request to answer questions comes a week after Mountbatten Windsor was stripped of his royal title and agreed to give up his leased home in Windsor.
Mountbatten Windsor's name appears in documents and flight logs subpoenaed from Epstein's estate and released by the committee. He has also been accused by one of Epstein's victims of assault, the late Virginia Giuffre, of sexual assault.
"The oversight committee will investigate allegations of abuse by Mountbatten Windsor and will seek information on Epstein's operations, network and associates based on the men's longstanding and well-documented friendship," the committee said in a press release.
