Donald Trump has said Americans could be given $2,000 each, funded by tariff revenues, in an apparent bid to rally public support on the issue.
“A dividend of at least $2,000 a person ... will be paid to everyone,” the US president wrote on his Truth Social platform yesterday in a post that called tariff critics “FOOLS!”
