The Guardian

September 06, 2025

Graham Linehan, the co-creator of Father Ted, told police he hit the phone out of the hand of a teenage trans activist after being taunted about his divorce, a court has heard.

- Daniel Boffey

The move was said by Linehan to have been a "reflex response" to a "provocative statement" from Sophia Brooks, then 17, who was filming the 57-year-old scriptwriter at the time.
