Roll reversal: Greggs festive ad star Nigella praises its pastry

Nigella Lawson has issued an impassioned paean to the Greggs sausage roll, after reports of a banger-based dust-up that threatened to cast a shadow over her appearance in the chain's first ever Christmas advert.
Greggs confirmed yesterday that the celebrity chef had agreed to star in its first Christmas promotion, in which she will purr over such delicacies as vegan festive bakes.
However, there had been reports that Lawson was unwilling to endorse the chain's sausage rolls. Greggs said this was inaccurate, and that she was only ever recruited to promote the Christmas menu.
Lawson said: "As a longtime fan of Greggs, and especially their sausage rolls, I'm thrilled to be collaborating with them to celebrate the return of the iconic Christmas menu."
The promotion will bring together two household names known for their association with former chancellors of the exchequer.
