MPs' report calls for rethink on regulations for lifetime Isas

Lifetime Isas could lead to poor investment decisions and may not be the best use of public money, a cross-party committee of MPs has warned.
In a report today, the Treasury select committee concluded lifetime Isas, also known as Lisas, may have been mis-sold to savers eligible for universal credit or housing benefit.
Lisas were launched in 2017 to help people save for their first home or retirement. Deposits are topped up by the state, up to £1,000 each year.
