Kennedy Center ticket sales slump after Trump takeover

Ticket sales for the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' three largest performance spaces have reportedly fallen to their lowest level in years after Donald Trump's takeover of the institution this year, according to analysis from the Washington Post.
The Post reported yesterday that its analysis of ticket sales data from 3 September to 19 October found that only about 57% of tickets for typical productions had been sold or issued on a complimentary basis. In comparison, the Post said about 93% of tickets were snapped up in autumn 2024 and 80% in autumn 2023.
The analysis found the decline had hit all three of the Kennedy Center's major venues: the Opera House, the Concert Hall and the Eisenhower Theater.
