Canada's Liberals near majority after one-vote win in recount

Canada's Liberal party has inched closer to a majority government after a judicial recount found it had won an electoral district by a single vote.
However, a voter has also claimed her ballot was not counted, throwing the result once more into disarray.
Officials at Elections Canada at the weekend finished a recount for the Quebec district of Terrebonne, where the incumbent Bloc Québécois candidate, Nathalie Sinclair-Desgagné, appeared to have won over the Liberal challenger, Tatiana Auguste.
Auguste was initially projected as the winner following the federal election on 28 April, after final tallies showed her ahead by 35 votes.
