Backpacker pleads guilty after man dies from e-scooter crash

An English backpacker who fatally collided with a father of two while riding an e-scooter drunk in Perth, Australia, has pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving.
Alicia Kemp, 25, from Redditch, Worcestershire, struck Thanh Phan, 51, while riding through the Western Australia capital at about 8.40pm on 31 May. Phan was critically injured and died in hospital days later.
Kemp was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death while under the influence of alcohol. She pleaded guilty in Western Australia's magistrates court yesterday.
