J&K set to celebrate 11th IDY with vibrant public participation

CS reviews preparations for successful conduct of this global event

Under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, a comprehensive review meeting was held tuesday to assess the preparations for celebrating the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY-2025) on 21 June across the length and breadth of J&K.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary, GAD and Information Departments, Secretary, H&ME; Secretary, YS&S; Secretary, RDD; Secretary, Transport; MD, NHM; Director, School Education, Kashmir/ Jammu; Project Director, Samagra Shiksha; Director Health, Jammu/ Kashmir; Director, Ayush besides other concerned officers.

Deputy Commissioners joined the meeting from their respective offices through video conferencing.

During this meeting the Chief Secretary observed “Yoga is not merely a physical exercise,”. “It is a mind-refreshing discipline that fosters peace of mind, good health, and inclusivity—benefits that transcend age and gender.”

He encouraged all to participate in these celebrations especially the school children to foster discipline and consciousness about the wealth of health in them.
