In line with the recent guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case Society for Enlightenment and Voluntary Action & Anr. vs Union of India & Ors. (2004 SC), which emphasizes a collective, community-driven approach focusing on prevention before protection and protection before penalization, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Kupwara organized a comprehensive awareness programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Hayhama.

The initiative, held in collaboration with Government Boys Higher Secondary School Halmatpora, was conducted under the direction of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and aimed at sensitizing students and staff on vital child protection legislations and constitutional rights.
