PROUD EDWARDS HAILS CHARACTER OF HIS BORO SIDE AT PRESTON
MIDDLESBROUGH may not have been able to uphold their perfect start to the Championship season, but boss Rob Edwards was left feeling proud of his side after they twice fought back from going behind to draw at Preston North End.
Matt Targett netted Boro's first equaliser in his first start for the club before Preston appeared to have ended Boro's unbeaten start when putting the home side back in front in the 88th minute.
Sontje Hansen and Alan Browne will argue over who got Boro's second equaliser, but it's trivial in the grand scheme of things.
The important thing was Boro showing their character and not letting their heads drop to ensure they at least took something from the game. And that was why their head coach felt happy after.
