BEST friends Tracey Sandbach and Trudi Goodchild say they have never looked back after making the joint decision to lose weight and live healthier lifestyles.

Weight loss pact pays off for pals

Having met on holiday in Lanzarote 21 years ago, the pair always remained friends. Over the years they both tried different diets and joined weight loss groups but the pounds always crept back on.

Three years ago, Trudi moved from Watford to Billingham, just around the corner from her pal and during a girlie night in September, last year, they both agreed enough was enough and they would make a determined effort together to lose weight.

Seven months later they have collectively lost more than seven stone and say they feel happier and healthier than ever.

Tracey said: "It was weird, we were sat in mine on a Saturday night and I said, 'I’m miserable and feel too big,' and Trudi said, 'I feel the same!' So we got on our phones looking for Slimming World groups and found a new one and just decided we would go for it together."

Trudi said: "To be honest, for me it was more about how I was feeling. I was tired all the time and my knees hurt. I could still get up a long flight of stairs before but would have to stop halfway.

"We did try to lose weight before together but there were 250 miles between us. Having each other just around the corner has made such a difference - this is the best we have ever done."
