Tricky winger brings variety to attack

The Gazette

'TRICKY customer' Sontje Hansen will be a very effective forward player who provides Middlesbrough's attack with variety and the ability to be tactically flexible.

That's according to head coach Rob Edwards, who offered some insight into why he was keen to sign the Dutchman this summer, and where he expects him to fit in.

It follows Hansen's arrival at Boro earlier in the week from NEC Nijmegen.

A summer-long target, Hansen proved an attractive option for Boro this summer because his style of play made him unique to the other forward players Boro currently have. In particular, his pace is something that it was felt was needed after the losses of Emmanuel Latte Lath, Ben Doak and Isaiah Jones.
