Students celebrate making the grade

THE wait was finally over yesterday as A-level students across Teesside received their all-important results envelopes.
There were high fives, hugs and happy faces as students breathed sighs of relief.
It was a memorable day, with youngsters now preparing for the next step in their lives - whether that's university, apprenticeship or into the working world.
Congratulations to Coyers School and Sixth Form student Luke Clarkson, who is heading to Sheffield University to study Astrophysics, and Frank Graham, who is heading to York St John to study Politics and International Relations.
Stockton Sixth Form College student Lucas Cuskern bagged himself 2 A*s and an A.
He's now off to study Medicine at University of Plymouth.
Teesside High School student Holly is celebrating after achieving A*, A, B grades and securing a place to read History and Politics at the University of Birmingham.
Stockton Sixth Form College college student Taha secured 3 A's and is going to study Dentistry at Queen Mary's University in London.
Fellow student Becky Dumain achieved A, B, B and is off to study Medicine at Newcastle University.
Conyers student Eddy Gowland is heading to Somerville College Oxford after achieving 4 A* grades, while Thomas Birtles achieved three Distinctions during his studies at Stockton Sixth Form College.
He's now going to study Sport and Exercise Science at Teesside University.
A busy two-year run of college performances has paid off for Stockton Riverside College students Lola Smith and Layla Walker.
The up-and-coming young actors have both secured places at The Arden School of Theatre, one of the UK’s most prestigious theatre schools.
Congratulations to Emily James (Triple Distinction* at Conyers School and Sixth Form) who is heading to Northumbria to do Childhood Nursing and fellow student Maddie Levick (D*D*Distinction) who is heading to Teesside University to study Physiotherapy.
Well done also to Trinity Catholic College’s George Otedola on achieving A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
