AT FOUR SHE WAS TOLD SHE'D BE IN A WHEELCHAIR - NOW SHE'S A GLOBAL FORCE

- By SUE KIRBY

SHAUNA Moar was just four years old when her parents were told she would spend her adult life using a wheelchair but through grit and determination she is now heading to Texas for a world strongwoman event.

Shauna, who owns Moar Coaching in Middlesbrough, was born with the muscle wasting condition hypotonia, and medics believed it would continue to progress until she was unable to walk.

But now the 37-year-old, originally from The Shetlands, is heading to Texas later this month after clinching her place to compete in the Official Strongman Games the highest level of international competition in the sport.
