Sex attacker’s 10-year jail sentence could be extended

A TAKEAWAY worker who seriously sexually assaulted a teenage girl and a woman could see his 10-year jail term extended under the unduly lenient sentencing scheme.

Arshad Chaudrhy, previously from Hartlepool, groped a woman under her underwear, despite her repeatedly asking him to stop.

When the woman, in her 20s, went to the toilet, he barged in as she was closing the door with his genitals exposed.

The Gazette previously reported how the court heard he tried to rape her and told her he we would ‘break her neck’ if she didn't comply.

Chaudrhy's attack was interrupted when someone else came into the room, and the woman fled.

She reported him to the police.
