Return on the cards for Azaz but it's too early for duo

MIDDLESBROUGH are likely to welcome Finn Azaz back to their squad for today's trip to Millwall, but Rob Edwards doesn't want to rush either George Edmundson or Riley McGree back.

Boro have been boosted as knocks against Doncaster for Alfie Jones and Law McCabe proved nothing too serious.

Alongside them, Azaz and Edmundson have both been back in training ahead of the first away game of the new season, though Azaz is the only one likely to be on the bench, with Edmundson missing all of preseason.

McGree was also set to return at a similar time to the pair but is yet to be back in full training. It follows what's been a really frustrating two-year period for the Australian international.

With a number of different injuries, he's ultimately struggled to stay fit for a prolonged period of time.
