Rapist paid man to have sex with woman before attack

A SICK rapist paid another man to have sex with a woman in a hotel room before sexually assaulting her.

A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of David Morrison, who failed to attend court yesterday, to learn his fate.

Upon his eventual arrest, the 44-year-old will be jailed for 10 years after a jury found him guilty of rape and sexual assault by penetration in August.

Teesside Crown Court heard how Morrison was in a hotel room with the victim when he left in the early hours of the morning to get some wine.

Morrison, who worked as an engineer, returned some time later with another man.

Summarising the case in sentencing, Recorder Paul Reid, who presided over the trial, said: “You [Morrison] started laughing and said ‘I have got a present for you: You said: ‘Do what you want to her, I’m going for a [cigarette] and some wine”
