Port firm sails into list of best places to work

A MIDDLESBROUGH employer has been shortlisted as one of the UK's best places to work.

AV Dawson is the owner and operator of the Port of Middlesbrough and has been recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for 2025.

The list is the UK's biggest survey of employees, and AV Dawson is one of only a handful of businesses in the North East to be recognised.

The annual list recognises and celebrates organisations across the UK that demonstrate excellence in employee experience and workplace culture.

AV Dawson is the only port in the UK to be mentioned and is listed in the medium-sized organisation category for employers of 50-249 people, alongside 187 other companies.
