Photographic memories mark club's 61 years

MEMORIES of past and present members of a popular Stockton social club have been shared as the venue marks 61 years in business.

Hardwick Social Club has been decked out in celebration of St George’s Day and several events organised.

Secretary Matt Speight said, as part of the celebrations, members were invited to send in their photos as staff look to thank those involved in the long-running success of the Harrowgate Lane club.

"It's a sort of remembrance event," said Matt. "The club turned 60 last year so it's been there for quite a while - in its heyday it had about 5,000 members."

So far around 200 pictures have been sent to the club to be shown on the big screen during the week.
