McGree ready but he'll have to be patient, says Edwards

ROB Edwards says Riley McGree is needing to be patient in the wait for his Middlesbrough return, but believes the forward is ready to step in now whenever needed.

McGree (pictured) has been back in training for a number of weeks and has made the bench for Boro’s last three games. But he’s been unused in all three of those games.

Boro have solid forward options and have been involved in tight games of late, which has made getting McGree on the pitch difficult. But Edwards believes whenever the right moment occurs he'll be ready, with no need, the Boro boss feels, to get him some minutes with the under-21s first.
